Rupture Part 1
02:14
|
|||
(1914, planet Earth. Three voices sound in the distance. One is burning in solitude, another one is drowning in guilt and the last one is slowly fading away. The message is stark: what could’ve been and never was.)
The Friend:
I took shelter in my insecurities,
sinking in my thoughts.
The Girl:
I thought I could avoid the obscurity
By loving and being loved
The Aerial:
I wish there is a way to go all the way back
The Friend, The Girl & The Aerial:
To when the sky did shine at night

Sentient
04:45
|
|||
(One year earlier, in 1913, a man walks on his own by the street, even though it’s prohibited for him to do so. He’s not human, but an ‘Aerial’, the ancestral race. Even such an advanced subject can long for affection and suffer its absence. This is his story.)
The Aerial:
These empty streets are always the same
Static winds and blackened waves
I want to run away and leave these lifeless nights behind
Then I turned around and saw your face
Since that day we started talking every night
you told me about your earthly life
We laughed, we played and cried and comfort each other
Then I turned around and saw your face
I’ll show you my world if you show me yours
The Friend:
I’m glad you found
Someone to love
but never forget
your oldest friend!
The Aerial:
You won’t get rid
Of me this easy!
The Friend:
Hush! And tell me
How far you guys gone?
The Aerial:
I don’t wanna brag
But I think this gon’ last
And when she talks
Something inside burns!
The Friend:
Is it your pants?
The Aerial:
Stop being a douchebag!
The Friend:
Really though, I’m glad
The Friend, The Girl & The Aerial:
I hope this lasts!
The Aerial:
Months went by and we’ve shorten distances
Helplessly I fell for you…
The Order:
Let me remind you fellow aerials, we are not allowed to feel
Neither to engage in dialogue with humans, we have to let them thrive or die
The Aerial:
Will it hurt them to establish relationships? Or mingle with the crowd?
I’m sick of locking myself up when the sun comes up and only at night go out
The Friend:
It’s alright I’m by your side
But you have to understand
There are rules we can’t break up
I’ll help you out every night
I won’t let you down my friend
But promise me you won’t take it far
The Aerial:
Will you keep this a secret? I trust in you
You are the only friend I have
I promise I won’t give you any trouble
Would you help me out?
The Friend:
I’m here for you
As you were for me
But you gotta think through
Is it worth it?
The Aerial:
I never loved
Anyone more
Or like this before
Yeah, it is worth it

Take My Hand
03:11
|
|||
(A woman walks on her own by the street. She’s alone and afraid and has no one to rely on. She’s human and, like everyone else, she longs for company and affection.)
The Girl:
Look at the sky, see the stars collide, as long as we can fly I'm not afraid of life
We’re not alone, face the world and you will know we all deserve to be loved
These empty streets are all the same
Static winds and blackened waves
I want to run away and leave these nights behind
Then I turned around and saw your face
I think you know the rest…
I’ll show you my world
I’ll show you my world if you show me yours
Look at the sky, see the stars collide, as long as we can fly I'm not afraid of life
We’re not alone, face the world and you will know we all deserve to be loved
You cured my loneliness
You made me feel love again
Everytime I see your face
I couldn’t care less of what they say
I just can’t wait to meet the day
You take my hand
I dream with a life in which we can embrace the sky
And count all the stars at night
I wish for a night in which we can erase the lights
That keeps us from finding a way out of this moon-jail

The Opposition
05:28
|

Part 1. Interrogation
(The Order suspects The Aerial might be breaking the rules by interacting with humans, so they decided to question him in order to deal with this struggle.)
The Order:
You’ve been out at night several times this past few months
We need to remind you there are some rules you can’t just ignore
You know how dangerous is to be noticed by the human kind for long
So stop your little excursions, remain indoors
The Aerial:
No! I won’t
I found a reason to live
There’s nothing you can say to change my mind
I’ll show her my world and she’ll show me hers
Your rules are numb
So cold and sharp
I own my nights
So step aside
The Order:
Silence!
Outrageous!
How dare you disobey!
Since the moment we gave life to human kind
We all agree to not to interfere, out of their sight
But still you refuse to understand
You are out of The Order
Part 2. Mad
(After the leader of The Order’s declaration, The Aerial has lost it. He is deeply in love with The Girl and he won’t let anyone tell him otherwise. The emotions have owned him and he is burning in anger, which may get him in trouble.)
The Aerial:
So that’s the way things are gonna go
You targeted your prey and you keep expecting it to take your load
I’m not alone, not anymore, my home doesn’t belong to none of you
So now that you openly declared a war don’t you think I’ll run and hide
I’ll get you out of my life
I’ll sever every distance, do what it takes to make you say goodbye
Kick me you say? Was it easy to say?
You constantly censor our ways and you pale?
I’m surprised no one did what I’ll do after all of those years we’ve been buried alive
The Order:
You have crossed the line
This shall end tonight
The Aerial:
What did you say?
I’m the one being left out
Don’t you act like you are the one who’s paying for a price this high
Decay!
The time is now!
You’ll see, you’ll feel the steel get in your ribs and then live up to see the day we are free
Suddenly I hear a voice
It says I should've changed my choice
That all I’m doing is just noise
not a chance, not a glimpse of poise
The Friend:
how can you say such things?
The Aerial:
You said that you’d help me out, you’re turning back now? What is this all about?
You’re leaving me here all alone after all we’ve been through?
Please I need you more than ever, now that my world has turned into this forever nightmare
The Friend:
You crossed the line
The Aerial:
What did you say?
I’m the one being left out
Don’t you act like you are the one who’s paying for a price this high
Decay!
The time is now!
I see, I feel the steel get in my ribs may I live up to see the day (we are free)
The Friend:
If there’s a way out of this hell I’ll help you out
For now escape and hide away right now!
Ensemble:
Run! Run! Run! Run!
The Order:
Don’t let him escape
Go! Run! Get him!
The Aerial:
I, I, I, I
I gotta tell her

The Unveiling
04:27
|
|||
(The night after the expulsion, The Aerial met The Girl at the same time and place than always. He’s ready to tell her about The Order and its dictate and, as the situation requires it, leave her for her sake.)
The Aerial:
My love there’s something you need to know
For as you know, I’m not like you
There’s a price on my head
You gotta run from me before it spreads
I want you to be safe although
My love for you will never end
That’s the truth
So go and hide before we’re through
The Girl:
I won’t leave you alone, no matter what the risks are
You were on your own but now you have me by your side
The Aerial:
Listen, you don’t deserve this
The Girl:
This is the least I can do
The Aerial:
Doom and despair is around the corner
The Aerial & The Girl:
But we are together
The Aerial:
I’ll show you my world
The Girl:
I’ll show you my world
The Aerial:
I’ll show you my world
The Girl:
I’ll show you my world
The Aerial & The Girl:
If you show me yours
The Aerial:
You are the best thing that had happened in my entire life
The Girl:
We’ll get through this, you and I
We’ll show them our love will never die
You showed me your world so I’ll show you mine
The Aerial:
Let’s go to the abandoned farm
We’ll hide in the barn till the storm goes by
And while the last drops fall
I’ll love you even more
I hear them coming, we gotta run
They’re moving fast, the race’d begun
We’ll make it in no time
So please move faster, run! Run!
(The Girl is shot in her back by an aerial.)
No… this can’t be…
Hold tight, we’re almost there
You’ll be fine, I swear
Don’t leave me now

Shooting Stars
03:24
|
|||
(The Aerial is running while he holds The Girl in his arms. She’s unconscious, dreaming about all that’s been going on in her life lately, losing innocence and gaining maturity in the process. Goodbye halcyon days.)
The Girl:
Am I alive?
Am I a goner?
All I see are visions of the life I’ve chosen
Is this where our paths divide?
Have I done anything right?
I was hoping
We could run away in summer, share some moments
Only you and I lying down
I dream with a life in which we can embrace the sky
And count the stars
I wish for a night in which we can erase the lights
That keeps us in this moon-jail
Are you okay?
Are you lonely?
I can feel your arms, I think you may be holding me
I don’t wanna be a burden
Can we go back to when
We were hoping
We could run away in winter, share some moments
Shooting stars across the skies
I dream with a life in which we can embrace the sky
And count the stars
I wish for a night in which we can erase the lights
That keeps us in this moon-jail
Day and night
Shooting stars
Waiting patiently to die
I dream with a life in which we can embrace the sight
Of a brand new day
And we could run away before the sun turns off its light
But we’re just shooting stars

Betrayal
06:58
|
|||
(The Aerial and The Girl, who remains unconscious, finally made it to the farm. The Aerial still can’t believe what has happened and doesn’t know why his friend didn’t help them on their escape.)
The Aerial:
We made it to the barn
This bad dream will turn alright
As long as you’re by my side
It all will turn alright
I want to see your face under the light of day
I want to embrace your eyes without the veil
Of the night, and create a brand new fate
In which we erase their light…
What are you doing here?
The Friend:
We meet again
The Aerial:
Why would you do this?
The Friend:
The order goes first
The Aerial:
What did you say?
The Friend:
This is the end
The Aerial:
How could I’ve been so foolish?
The Friend:
You’ve gone astray
The Aerial & The Friend:
You’re a disgrace!
The Friend:
You crossed the line
You said you won’t take it far
The Aerial:
Screw the designs
You made in your mind!
The Friend:
You’re coming with me
And then we will see
The Aerial:
You must be ill
If you think that’ll be it
(The Aerial put on a fight knowing that his friend is much better than him when it comes to strength. Meanwhile, The Girl is waking up, still too weak to do a thing.)
The Aerial:
I knew this would happen
I knew someday this will end
My friend, my only friend
Kept me from her
I’ll never understand
Life’s so unfair…
The Girl:
How could this happen?
Is this how it all ends?
The moments that we spent
All that we have planned
Life’s so unfair…
Am I alive?
Am I a goner?
All I see are visions of the life I’ve chosen
Is this where our paths divide?
The Friend:
This is the end
The Aerial:
Finish it then
The Friend:
I’m sorry my friend
The Aerial:
You only pretend
The Friend:
The order goes first…
The Aerial:
You can go to hell
The Friend:
well then farewell!
The Aerial:
C’mon man!
Shoot me!
The Friend:
I will, don’t push me!
The Aerial:
Shoot me “friend”!
The Friend:
Shut up! I’ll do it!
The Aerial:
Shoot me!
The Friend:
Say your prayers!
The Girl:
No!
The Aerial & The Friend:
Wait!
(The Girl hugged The Aerial, receiving the bullet and giving her life for his.)
The Girl:
This is the end, I would love to stay, but I will not regret the time that we have spent
The Aerial:
Why did you save me?
The Friend:
What have I done?
The Friend, The Girl & The Aerial:
We’re all alone, face this world and you will know we all deserve to be loved
The Aerial:
No! Please don’t leave me alone, on my own
You are my home
The only place I can go
(The end of Take My Hand)

Rupture Part 2
01:33
|
|||
(The Aerial is dreaming about what happened. He can hear some voices in the distance.)
The Aerial:
I lost everything that I needed
Now I’m all alone
The Friend:
Longing for belonging, feeling
I’ve done everything wrong
The Girl:
I wish there is a way to go all the way back
The Friend, The Girl & The Aerial:
To when the sky did shine at night
(Back to reality)

Goodbye Halcyon Days
02:00
|
|||
(The Aerial is lying down in a sunflower garden. He’s still too hurt to move and too tired to do so, so he instead thinks about his life and about the path he walked through.)
The Aerial:
The sun came out, it hurts my eyes
No more stars, no more blue skies
The knotted rope, the dead of hope
The inner child dies
Goodbye halcyon days
You’ll miss them when they are gone
Never feel at home
When the dirges start to play
And the casket sinks away
You won’t fear this old song
And we’ll sing along
What the voices say:
Goodbye halcyon days
You’ll never see them grow
Never felt so down
The world will never be the same
Never found your way
Will you ever know?
Can you live on your own?
We will never be safe
Goodbye…

The Sin Of Man
04:19
|
|||
(Years later, the Earth meets an obscure fate filled with wars and crisis. Was it because humankind itself ended up failing as living entities? Or did something else happened?)
The Aerial:
Year 2075 and rising, high life expectancy, an ageing population in a world of fantasy leads humankind to fantasize about a whole new galaxy they can live on
The economy is dying, everyone and everything is buried under millionaire debts, a terrifying bet, an ominous approach dictates sentence over primitive expenses, a deliberate misstatement:
"What if we nullify all that's left to pay? A brand new start, building everything up again. Erase all this pain, detain this insane brain called stock-in-trade, all companies are now liberated!"
It goes without saying that the system collapsed
libe-libe-liberated
(1914. The Aerial is longing for revenge and he’s decided to confront the one who took him out of The Order.)
Since The Order convicted me ‘cause I adored her and I’ve had feel
I’ve been kicked of their insanity, their disorder, their fantasy
I’ve been roaming, I’ve been lonely, a zombie, desperate, no need
To feel guilty, would be really pretty to see pity in his face!
So I went out and kill him
He went by the name of Archduke Franz Ferdinand
I have fulfilled a world demand
God it made me feel so
libe-libe-liberated
Year 2076, unsurprising, how could a private corporation, manufacturer of beverage, handle inflation and rise up to leverage its development in such situation? Well, easy
Absorbing every company, creating debt out of poverty, lowering properly the feeling of sovereignty, honest robbery. “Please don’t bother me, I’m making this country shine again, you’ll see”. You know its name:
PopSic!:
PopSic!
We’re taking power; overthrow this lower form of government, and establish our dictatorship, you’re gonna love it.
The European Union and Asia are against us, bombing us, losing our trust, so get your payback!
Now this war is killing the environment, time to build some domes in a moment
Don’t even think of talking back
You gotta know your place
Things will never be the same
These walls are all you need
The Aerial:
I was the sin of man all along
I am the one to blame but god do I feel so
libe-libe-liberated
Oh
libe-libe-liberated
god I feel so liberated
|
||||
11. |
Come Together
04:45
|
|||
(It’s the year 2107. The war is over and PopSic! is the only country in the world. Humanity is at the verge of extinction and their survival depends on the domes built by the company. The Friend found love and had one daughter. The Aerial is still lost and hurt, but he realized something…)
The Aerial:
I finally understand what this is all about
The reason why we all stand in this battleground
We all are one, a portion of the same cake
We all know what we want, but do we know why?
We lived inside a greater soul
what resonates, what's keeping me awake
the sound of an ominous symphony
what resonates, what's keeping me awake
your sound, your sound, your sound, your sound
I’m lost in my own shadows
I drove humankind to death
Now all that remains are shallow memories
Of the darkest time on earth
What have I done?
I’m lost in my own shadows
Now all that remains are hollow voices
Inside my head
The Friend:
This is the end
I’m sorry my friend
The Aerial:
You couldn't have done it worst
The Order:
You have crossed the line
The Aerial:
Get out of my head!
The Girl:
You left me to die! Did you ever cared for me?
The Aerial:
You are the best thing that had happened in my entire life
the rite of odds, the flawed claws, you
the cry of gods, the morning falls, you
(The Aerial and The Friend meet again)
The Friend:
I know you hate me
But listen to me
I have something to say
Give me this chance
The Aerial:
Then, what is it?
Talk and be quick
The Friend:
I know how you feel
I’ve left love behind
The Aerial:
What?
The Friend:
We must leave Earth
Dive into space
Find a new way
To fix our mistakes
The Aerial:
Leave humankind
I’m sure they will thrive
Without our guide
And shine their own light
The Friend:
My dearest, my only daughter, I’ve got to go, take care of mom
But remember: there is love buried in the chest of those who fight alone

Planet Red
04:07
|
|||
(The Aerial, his friend and their crew depart to Planet Red, a brand new world to conquer and start all over and leave behind the humans so they can sort their problems out without the aerials’ advice.)
The Friend & The Crew:
Off we go!
Planet Red!
A brand new world!
Off we go!
We’re alive!
Alive!
The Aerial:
I was thinking ‘bout that time when we were young and free
It’s been million years ago and see, we’re lost at sea
I’ve never thought I’d feel so alone and weak, did I relived this over and over again?
over and over again?
Back home we were whole before the energy ran out, a drought that drove us apart, blackout
And the last of us went mad, we were trapped, he attacked, many of our brothers died
We escaped fast
And now here we are, I stand by the side of the one who killed her, the one who lied and survived, the one who’s happier
The one who can look in the mirror and do it over and over again
over and over again
And yes, I know I’m not any better, but read her letters and try to forget her, never ever
Would you do the effort?
Will you judge and decide who did lose, who will die? Of course you will, no surprise
Roll the dice
(The Crew is excited with The Friend’s proposal)
The Crew:
Have you heard?
Did you know?
Listen
We will go yonder
Our new friend
Wants to go
Conquer
A brand new planet
The Friend:
Have you ever heard about the end of the world?
Listen to the fleeting waves of time, somewhere in space
I knew a good friend, he’d want us to go conquer this brand new planet
The Aerial:
I can’t forget
You were my friend and I still miss you
For I am no saint too
I can’t forgive
Any of those things that you did do
How could we undo this?
(The ship arrived to Planet Red and The Aerial suffers a sudden epiphany)
I can see this new world
Suddenly I remember his words
He said humankind was my legacy
He gave his life for us
He was like a father to me
Back in the galaxy I was born
He said humankind was my legacy
I have some work to do…
The Friend, The Aerial & The Crew:
Off we go!
Planet Red!
A brand new land of hopes!
Off we go!
We're alive!
We'll live among the stars on Planet Red

03:22
|

(As soon as the ship landed, The Aerial locked himself in his cabin and started working on a very special task: “The Hivemind Project”. He remembers an old friend who commended him to take care of the humans, for their emotions can stain the Hivemind, but he still can’t forget The Girl, and that messes with his head. Will he be able to achieve his goal?)
The Aerial:
I know, I screwed it all up
But still there’s something I can do
As long as there’s a sun
I live up to mend what blew up
I’ll see humanity stand up
The greater soul is cleansed
When the time comes this
Machine will lead them through
DG-76:
DG-76
The Aerial:
I’ll send some messages to different years
To avoid this fate, to vanquish fear
I hope this works, through the atmosphere
Will it reach them? Will we see them again?
The Aerial & DG-76:
Who wants to live forever?
Close your eyes
Who wants to see the end of all that we have known?
Who wants to die alone?
Set me free
I see a light worth holding
The light won't come alone
The Aerial:
Will you make it without me?
I won’t live forever
I’m sorry
The Aerial & DG-76:
I remember the time we spent
I remember the things we did
And I will never forget
That one time I was with you
DG-76:
In the end of the world

We Meet Again

Part 1. Rupture Part 3
(The project has failed. The Aerial couldn’t save the humankind from themselves and they went extinct since 2130. The last of the aerials back in his original galaxy, arrived to Planet Red in search of energy, so he devoured everyone except The Aerial, who’s still locked in in its cabin full of guilt and regret. He’s the last man alive.)
The Aerial:
Even though I’ve done everything wrong
I won’t try no more
I hear a roar, something opened the door
Oh it’s you, we meet again!
Will you take me away and end with this at once?
I wanna see the sky at night
(The Aerial is consumed by the last of them and dies. Now all the energy in the universe remains in one single being, drifting in an empty space. No color, no shapes, no life. Only one soul in which is gathered the conscious of every living being in universe: The Hivemind.)
Part 2. We meet again.
(There’s no distance in the greater soul, no intimacy. Everyone share the same room, there’s no lies, no deceit. But at the same time, the Hivemind is contaminated by the bad thoughts of the living beings who suffered a horrible life. The Hivemind is poisoned by emotions.
The Aerial roams through this spiritual ride in confusion.)
The Aerial:
I lived in a city
Far away from this galaxy
And when there was no energy we flee
The Friend:
You’ve forsaken your father
The Aerial:
We flew away
Into the Milky Way
And when men lead astray we flee
The Order:
You’ve forsaken your legacy
The Aerial:
We went ahead
Into Planet Red
And when ‘it’ appeared, we ceased
The People:
We’ve forsaken our fleeting time
A brand new land of hopes!
Oh, who will you rely on now?
Oh, who will you rely on now?
Oh, who will you rely on now?
Oh, who will you rely on now?
On her…
The Girl:
We meet again, my love, this time forevermore
I got to know your world, and mine is yours
So stop your crying, no more worrying, this is not the time for thinking if you were right or wrong, for now let’s move on now
The People:
We must be strong, we will meet an age of horror
We’re not alone, face the world and you will know
The Girl:
I dream with a life in which we can embrace the sky
The Friend:
This is the end
The Aerial:
I know my friend
Everyone:
We all deserve to be loved
DG-76:
End of stream. Sent to 2020
Have a nice day! We will meet again soon.
